If you are already a member, we THANK YOU. And if not, we ask that you consider becoming a member to help preserve and celebrate history in Madison County.

In 1904,10 visionary individuals realized that Madison County history was endangered by the deaths of its earliest settlers. They began accumulating what they termed “relics” and remembrances. Due to their efforts and the work of others throughout 120+ years, the Historical Society is thriving with 25 acres, 14 buildings, and countless artifacts and documents that record every era of Madison County history.

These items have been catalogued, preserved, and displayed for the enjoyment of visitors, researching by students at all levels, and are vital to family historians. Madison County communities, school districts, and organizations call upon this collection to understand their past for their current project

Individual Annual Membership – $30
Individual Annual Senior Membership (65 and older) – $25

  • Personally helping to preserve the history of Madison County
  • Monthly events email and pre-opening print newsletter Happenings on The Hill
  • Free admission to the Museum and Bevington Mansion plus two free passes for friends or family members each visit
  • Members-only special events
  • Advance registration for limited-seating events, so you can reserve your place before the general public
  • Voting privileges at the Society’s Annual meeting to elect Board of Directors
  • Annual memberships run from April 1 to March 31 each year.

Family Annual Membership (Parent/s with child/ren at home) – $50

  • Personally helping to preserve the history of Madison County
  • Monthly events email and pre-opening print newsletter Happenings on The Hill
  • Free admission to parent/s and child/ren at home to the Museum and Bevington Mansion plus two free passes for friends or family members each visit
  • Members-only special events
  • Advance registration for limited-seating events, so you can reserve your place before the general public
  • Voting privileges at the Society’s Annual meeting to elect Board of Directors

Individual Life Membership – $300

  • Personally helping to preserve the history of Madison County
  • Monthly events email and pre-opening print newsletter Happenings on The Hills
  • One free Museum Lounge rental per year (a $125 value)
  • Free admission to the Museum and Bevington Mansion plus two free passes for friends or family members each visit
  • Members-only special events
  • Advance registration for limited-seating events, so you can reserve your place before the general public
  • Voting privileges at the Society’s Annual meeting to elect Board of Directors
